Mission StatementThe mission of the Systems & Controls Technology Track of projects is to develop a scalable, modular open architecture, open source platform to support projects requiring input control and data. This project will focus on but not exclude vehicle & robotic products. In general use in a variety of education, research & development, and outreach applications within and beyond the RIT KGCOE. This project should use an engineering design process to develop modules and subsytems that can be integrated by subsequent senior design teams.
The mission of this student team is to develop a fully functional, scalable sensor module subsystem using PC104 controller PCB architecture. This project hardware and software will focus on supporting mechanical, electrical and applications software projects. That is, future projects as a building block controller system. The team must provide complete documentation of the analysis, design, manufacturing, build, test, and evaluation of this subsystem to a level of detail that a subsequent teams can apply to their projects without redesign.
These projects have significant overlap with projects from the Aerospace Systems and Technology Track (P07100) and the Vehiclar Systems Track (P07200).

Project Readiness PackageThe Project Readiness Page defines customer needs and expectations, project deliverables (including time frame), budget, and personnel / organizations affiliated with the project. It will serve as the primary source of information for students necessary during Phase 0 (Planning) to develop a SD I plan and schedule including specific deliverables and due dates. The Project Readiness Package will also support Faculty evaluation of project suitability in terms of depth, scope, and student / faculty resources by discipline.
