Project Overview
For the 2007-2008 academic year, the MAV team will be taking on a new exciting form of aerial vehicle design. The goals of MAV flight have changed significantly in the last few years from small endurance vehicles capable of simple video target acquisition to larger aerial vehicles capable of flight for extended distances, GPS and video target acquisition and sensory retrieval data. Major customers for this product consist mainly of government agencies such as DARPA and the CIA. The 2007-2008 Senior Design team will lead the way for RIT in the new MAV competition and will set the benchmark for future MAV Senior Design projects.
