Project Overview
The P08211 project will be a device to measure the speed and acceleration of a Raymond Corporation or competitor's forklift truck by use of a wheel or other ground contact method. The device will wirelessly transmit the data from the device attached to the forklift to a data recorder, which can either be the Sony data recorder already used at the Raymond test facility or the data recorder developed by the P08210 project team. The device will also wirelessly transmit the data from the device attached to the forklift to a real-time speed display that can either be stationary or mounted for the forklift driver to observe. This real-time wireless display will also be able to be used for the measuring device developed by the P08210 project team.
