Project Overview
The physical therapy clinic at Nazareth college works with individuals who have had strokes as they re-learn to perform everyday activities. An important part of their training is learning how to navigate an obstacle course consisting of typical items that might be found in the home. The therapists would like to have a standardized course that can be dismantled and stored when not in use, and can also be restored to a prior "setting" in order to track patient progress.
This project has two primary challenges:
- Developing an innovative system of maximizing the number of different obstacles/configurations that can be set up while minimizing the storage space required
- Developing a means of automatically documenting the course configuration that was used during a given session so that the therapist can easily enter it into the patient's records
