Staffing Requirements

The staffing requirements for the project are summarized in the table below.

All team members will be expected to contribute to Needs Assessment, Design Specifications, Concept Generation, and Concept Selection, in addition to helping manufacture the final product. Additional specific roles envisioned are as follows:

Elizabeth DeBartolo ME Faculty Guide, Will work closely with the team on an on-going basis to facilitate success.
George Slack EE Faculty Consultant, Will provide EE discipline technical support on an intermittent basis.
Matthew Marshall ISE Faculty Consultant, Will provide ISE discipline technical support on an intermittent basis.
Shadle Stewart ME1 Lead for course design, support for tracking method development and manufacturing.
Jared Berman ME2 Lead creating of CAD package and manufacturing, support assembly and storage design, support for course design.
Nicolette McGeorge ISE1 Lead assembly and storage process design, support for course design and manufacturing. Lead tracking method development, support design of monitoring system and user interface including test procedures and manual writing. Act as liason to parallel bar team.
Allison Hill EE Lead design of system to track course setup, lead for controlling moving obstacles, support for sensors, interface, and printer design. Lead and work with Faculty Guide on procurement and purchasing.
Samir Mian CE Lead sensors, interface design, and printer communication, support for course setup tracking, support for test procedure/manual creation. Maintain Google group for communication usage.

The preliminary plan for the team is to break up into two subgroups:

  1. The Design of Physical Course team will design and build the physical course, including all obstacles/surfaces, and develop a means to store the course when not in use.

  2. The Documenting Course Setup team will develop a way to monitor individual components of the course and automatically provide the therapist with a way to store this information for each patient's file
