Student will be in charge of 1) choosing materials for the external case design that can withstand the assumed impacts taken by the device; 2) choosing materials for the internal case design that will absorb the shock and prevent damage to the internal components; 3) Oversee the work of all other team members and help with the integration of subsystems|
|Kirk Marquard||ME 2: Arm Design||Student will responsible for the design/selection of the hardware required to design an arm-like mount for the device. The arm needs to be attached to the customer's wheelchair, and the communication board needs to be able to attach and detach from the other end of the arm|
|Achilleas Tziazas||CE: Programming/Internal and Power Components||Student will focus on the embedded hardware of the system. A firm knowledge in application and understanding of embedded development are required. A good working knowledge of micro-controllers, linux, Windows CE, serial communications, C/C++ a plus. Student will play a large role in the design and implementation of the graphical user interface, meeting the desired needs of the customer|
