  • Research previous design, specifically structural and other mechanical components (i.e. structural features, application of mechanical load to motor, mounting of other components, coupling, etc.).
  • Begin benchmarking current dyno's and the platforms that support the motor and other components.
  • Determine what safety constraints pertain to the mechanical features
  • Begin getting familiar with 100kg and 10 kg motors
  • Assist in overall team deliverables
  • Continue benchmarking current dyno's
  • Determine the extent of mechanical modification/re-design of the previous design
  • Determine design parameters based off of customer needs (i.e. scalability)
  • Begin concept generation
  • Assist in overall team deliverables
  • Summarize external and internal searches to be presented to the team
