Grading and Assessment Scheme

NOTE: This grading scheme is subject to change upon mutual agreement between the team and faculty guide.
Deliverables
Grade Level MSD I MSD II
D Minimal Performance: Demonstrates a minimal level of effort. Used an existing audit to make recommendations for proposed changes. Did not generate an engineering solution that could be implemented within the time constraints. Only was able to create Public Relations campaign to be implemented in SDII. The work is lacking professional standards and analytical calculations. Minimal Performance: Demonstrates a minimal level of effort. Lack or disregard for quality or thoroughness on what has been competed.
C Satisfactory Performance: A satisfactory level of effort has been exerted with little innovation. New audit was done arbitrarily and was not justified through feasibility study or cost/benefit analysis. Concepts have been selected, but there has been no initial concept validation. Some engineering analysis completed. Public Relations campaign was formulaic and unoriginal. Satisfactory Performance: A satisfactory level of effort has been exerted with little innovation. Proposed changes are only partialy complete.
B Above Average Performance: Indicates a good level of performance with a fair amount of multidisciplinary work. Proposed engineering solution shows a good amount of innovation and improvements to existing system. Thoroughly analyzed feasibility and cost/benefits of proposed changes. Concepts have been selected, and validated through objective means. Thorough engineering analysis completed. Created value-added solution and innovative PR campaign that can be implemented during the time constraints of SDII. Above Average Performance: All proposed changes implemented. End product shows a comprehensive level of understanding of energy solutions. Positive results from PR campaign.
A Excellent Performance: Demonstrates an outstanding level of performance while implementing innovative concepts. Capable of going beyond the original scope and taking the initiative expected of a practicing engineer. The solution was exceptionally innovative and will bring renown to RIT. For future benchmarking of campus audits and energy solutions, this project will move RIT to the top of the list. Excellent Performance: End product shows an exceptional level of understanding of energy solutions. Highly successful results of PR campaign, garnered local media attention.
