Project Overview
A six-stage compressor has been donated by Dresser-Rand for research usage by future student teams. It first must be installed at RIT, while safely preserving the classroom environment. The second step requires the team to design the revamp of the donation from a six-stage machine down to a two-stage unit. Finally, a basic data acquisition interface that can be used and modified to identify machine characteristics to verify proper performance must be created. Throughout the project, parts and procedures must be clearly documented, in order for future teams to perform thier own projects safely and efficently.
