Staffing Requirements

The staffing requirements for the project are summarized in the table below.

Note to DPM Students: Imagine that you are writing a one paragraph advertisement to hire an engineer to work on each of these positions within the team. Each entry in the Role/Skills description column should be very similar to a one paragraph co-op posting announcement similar to those you have applied to previously.

Wayne Walter ME Faculty Guide, Will work closely with the team on an on-going basis to facilitate success. Guide will help clearify any misunderstandings and ensure team achieves set goals. Faculty member was heavily involved with previous ROV project and possesses invaluable knowledge that is directly applicable to this current project.
George Slack EE Faculty Consultant, Will provide EE discipline technical support on an intermittant basis. Will help provide insight when team has met an obstical haulting progress.
Erin Gillespie ME Teaching Assistant. Will be a graduate student providing help to team while working on a thesis involving the current project.
Andre McRucker CE Will work on the GUI design and on the topside software design and management of the project. Will be in charge of the communications and control software of the Underwater Vehicle.
Cody Ture ME Will work on the Design of Experiments and be in charge of project testing procedures. Will analyze the ROV thrusters and be in charge of any applicable Engineering Vibrations issues. Propulsion system, water tight design, robotic arm component(s).
Charles Trumble ME Will work on the Design of Experiments and be in charge of project testing procedures. Will analyze the ROV thrusters and be in charge of any applicable Engineering Vibrations issues. Propulsion system, water tight design, robotic arm component(s).
Jeff Cowan EE Will be working on any A/D and D/A System Design, the Sensor Selection Interfacing, the and the Design and Construction of the project interfaces. Will also be in charge of DC Electric Machines and some Modeling. Data aquisition from machine to labtop, fiberoptic cable and arm electronics.
Aron Khan EE Will be in charge of the Analog and Digital Design, the PCB Layout, and the High-current motor driver design that will be used to improve performance. Will help build/analyze the motor and assist with the power analysis. Power distribution and controling ROV through microcontroler.
Alan Mattice ME Will work on Mechanical Design using CAD, and Solidworks. Will be in charge of any Machining, Construction, Stress Analysis, Structual Integrity, and GD&T that the project requiers. Stability, tether cable, retriveability/deployability of ROV.
Brian Bullen ME Will work on the Design of Experiments and be in charge of project testing procedures. Will analyze the ROV thrusters and be in charge of any applicable Engineering Vibrations issues. Propulsion system, water tight design, robotic arm component(s).
Anthony Squaire ISE Project Management. Will work on Concept Development of project. Will assist with SolidWorks Modeling and will be in charge of any project Manufacturing. Rules and regulations, standards, and benchmarking.
