Mechanical Design

The entire finger design will consist entirely of off the shelf components. The phalanges themselves will be threaded rods which will thread into the joints. both the distal and proximal interphalangeal joints are pin joints, and the metacarpophalangeal joint is a universal joint. The cables will be attached to a disk which will be threaded onto the rods.
