Step 2. Interpret Raw Data in Terms of Customer Needs

  1. Separates mini-cookies by weight
  2. Reduces excess amount of mini-cookies packaged
  3. Mini-Cookies look random in package
  4. Provides a long term solution
  5. Weighs more than just mini cookies
  6. Can possibly be used on more than just mini-cookies
  7. Does not create extra labor for the employees
  8. Easy for employees to switch for to new product
  9. Follow some food environment design restrictions

Step 3. Organize the Needs into a Hierarchy

After listing the needs in list order here, this is a great place to include an objective tree as a graphical representation of your interpretation of the customer needs.

Step 4. Establish the Relative Importance of the Needs

Importance Scale:

9 = These needs have the highest importance and will be the main focus of the project.

5 = These needs are somewhat important and will be the secondary focus of the project if time allows.

3 = These needs are not as important as the rest of the needs and will only be focused on if the main and secondary needs have been satisfied.
