First Sponsor Interview
Interviewers: Kenyon Zitzka, Project Lead
Sponsor: Dr. Rob Stevens
Date 20 March 2009

Meeting Summary

In this brief meeting, Dr. Stevens provided an overview of the project. The project team will develop, manufacture and test a prototype cook stove based on thermo-electric modules to be deployed to Haiti and other developing markets. Dr. Stevens provided a copy of the grant proposal he submitted to the EPA which can be found here. This proposal contains much of the initial information required to formulate and justify the project. He also provided basic insight as to exactly how thermo-electric modules operate.
