Product Description/Project Objective Statement

The goal of this project is to develop a thermoelectric power system for the first generation of RIT cook stove (project P10461). The thermoelectric power unit should convert heat from the stove directly into electricity. The electricity will power a fan. The fan will provide forced airflow into the stove in order to increase the stove efficiency and decrease the harmful byproducts of the stove. In addition the thermoelectic should provide power for an auxiliary load. One suggestion for the auxiliary load is a cell phone charger. Initially, the product will be developed with a Haitian food vendor in mind as the primary customer.
