Michael Obrien ME Industry Consultant - Will work closely with the team on an on-going basis to facilitate success.
Matt Manelis ME Project Manager - Responsible for maintaining project schedule, coordinating project tasks, and systems integration. In addition to having strong leadership and communication skills, the project manager should have taken the DPM course.
Katie Hall ME Lead Engineer - Responsible for establishing realistic compromise device architecture and engineering parameters to meet desired performance objectives using commercially available components such as actuators and power supplies.
Matt Manelis / Katie Hall ME Mechanical Engineer - Responsible for designing and implementing a hinged mirror assembly with actuators for positioning. Basic familiarity with modeling packages, such as ANSYS or COMSOL, is a must.
Ben Geiger EE Electrical Engineer - Responsible for implementation of the mirror actuators and position sensors, along with any power supplies required to operate them. Knowledge of electrical engineering (analog), and basic familiarity with position/velocity sensors and electromagnetic or piezoelectric actuators is required.
Nurkanat Suttibayev IE Test Engineer - Responsible for design and implementation of a testing plan to demonstrate the performance of the prototype mirror steering device. Demonstration of the device will require driving it with proper electronic signals, along with the measurement of beam jitter, position, accuracy, and power consumption.
Andrew Bishop EE Integration Engineer - Responsible for assisting the Electrical and Test Engineers with the necessary support, as well as working closely with the Mechanical Engineer to ensure interfaces between electrical and mechanical components are valid.
