Goal of P12242 Project: This project is being done in collaboration with three other senior design teams to construct a flight simulator for MOOG, who specializes in precision control components and systems for aircraft, space and industrial applications.Specifically, this team is focusing on developing an adapter plate to robustly interface MOOG's six degree of motion platform and a Beechwood Duchess cockpit to create the physical environment of the simulator. The challenge of this project is to design an adapter plate that can withstand the G-forces that the flight simulator program will output to the motion table.
