Project Summary Project Information

This webpage documents the Wind Energy Collection to Energy Bank (WECEB) project. This project represents the numerous core functions of a Sustainable Energy System for Education (SESE). It will collect energy from the wind and convert the mechanical energy into electrical. The electrical energy will then be transmitted to a storage unit. Other users, MSD teams, and students will eventually consume the energy captured and stored within the WECEB's storage unit; specifically through the Charging Dock Module being developed by MSD team P12402.

The Mechanical Engineering Department is the primary customer for this system. A previous MSD project, P11401, used a wind turbine to charge a small battery. This project will be a good basis for ours.
