Bill of Material (BOM)

The delevoped Bill of Materials used for the detailed design review can be viewed below. The bill of materials includes the list of parts required, if the team will buy or manufacture each component, cost, weight, supplier, and part number. The costs are the estimated costs from the supplies, which will guide the team for purchasing requirements for MSD II. The estimated weights will help the team with the risk item of the device being greater than the customer specification.

Test Plans

The test plans developed for MSD II for the detailed design review can be posted review. In addition, specific component testing plans were developed and those documents included charts to document results obtained throughout testing.

Detailed Design Review

The presentation used for the Detail Design Review, which took place on November 2nd 2012 (week 9 of fall quarter) can be viewed below. The detailed design review covered the system specifics, which included detailed analysis for the locking mechanism and the electrical components required to operate the system. The review had a more in depth risk assessment and project schedule that was developed based on the decided subsystem designs and feedback from the systems design review. In addition, the proposed schedule and component testing plans were created for MSD II. Also included below are the notes that were taken throughout the presentation, which highlighted the questions and feedback mentioned.
