It is important for the team to research products that are current on the market to better understand what technologies are available, attractive, and obtainable. Benchmarking helps the team determine what customer needs and functions are the highest priority based on customer feedback of current products. In addition, observing how current devices are used will help the team determine the key failures on the market, or areas where audio accessories may be improved.
