During Phase 4 of MSD II, the team submitted the project to the 2014 ASME Student Mechanism and Robot Design Competition. The final paper can be seen here.
The team was selected as design competition finalists, to compete in the final round at the 2014 ASME International Design & Engineering Technical Conferences (IDETC), on August 18th in Buffalo. The final round consisted of a quick, five-minute podium presentation, followed by an interactive poster session. The rules for the competition can be seen here.
Here is the five minute PowerPoint presentation in .pptx format and also in pdf format (the animations will only work in the .pptx), and a pdf of the 48" by 36" poster that was shown, which has a QR code in the top right corner linking to this Homepage.
Also of special note, is that this Edge website was an enormous help when we were talking with the judges about our design process, calculations, and answering their questions, and we believe it played a large part in how we scored.
