Pugh Chart for Determining Enclosure

UPDATE: Do to the lack of over the counter aluminum NEMA rated enclosures, a Steel NEMA 1 was chosen, as documented in the detailed design.

Based upon our two iterations, we feel that ALUMINUM will give us the best enclosure properties due to it's cost effectiveness, heat dissipation properties, and grounding ability. However, depeding on component selection this is subject to change. Size is irrelevant becasue some preliminary research shows that all sizes are readily available in these materials.

NOTE: During Sub-Systems Design Phase, a stainless steel case was chosen due to the unavailability of Off The Shelf Aluminum enclosures that meet relevant NEMA Standards as well as our needs - BTH 12/4/2013
