The goal of the Systems Design phase is to research the Phase I team's designs and propose changes which would further improve performance in order to meet the customer and engineering requirements.
Team Vision for System-Level Design
Plan
Our goal was to come up with a preliminary concept design that satisfied the needs of the functional decomposition derived from the customer requirements. Several alternative concepts were to be made in order to determine the most practical approach to the solution. In addition to benchmarking aspects of the Phase I team's design, feasibility analyses were to be performed on various components of the design.Accomplishments
The team came up with multiple concepts and selection criteria in which to evaluate them with. Several different hardware concepts were explored and benchmark testing was performed on the OEMI-7 model eye for hands on experience. Further research and benchmarks for our hardware design included linear actuators and methods of getting the device to blink and move successfully.Three Week Plan
