Project Goals and Key Deliverables

By the end of MSDII, the customer (Dr. Bailey) should have a functional device capable of sustaining proper cell culture conditions (temperature, CO2 concentration, etc.) in its internal environment on either of the two specified microscopes in her lab. The deliverables include the device itself, LabVIEW program to run the device, and an instructional manual such that BME students of at least 3rd year status would be able to operate the device with minimal difficulty.

Purpose

Decompose the Problem Statement into functions of elements needed to satisfy the customer.
  1. Gabriel Koelle owns the customer requirement document.
  2. Maintenance and updates have been done by Akhil Koka.
  3. This document will be brought to all project reviews.
  4. Input was sought from main stake holder on August 27, 2015.
  5. CRs were last confirmed with Customer on November 17th, 2015.

Engineering Requirements (Metrics & Specifications)

Purpose

Create a contract between the engineer and the customer where indisputable satisfaction of the engineering requirements equates to customer satisfaction
