Team Vision for Detailed Design Phase

During this phase our team planned to complete experiments which incorporated parallel copper electrodes manually placed into to microchannel. Additionally, we planned to complete feasibility on the voltages and frequencies established in the engineering requirements to ensure the power supply can adequately produce a signal to create the proper dielectrophoretic force.

Throughout the phase, our team complete the feasibility experiments and successfully created a dielectrophoretic force powerful enough to move yeast cells in a microchannel using manually placed copper electrodes and a signal that our current power supply design can produce.
