Team Vision for Subsystem Level Build & Test Phase

Summarize:

During this phase the mechanical sub team planned to manufacture the majority of the actuation, frame, and safety enclosure subsystems. The electrical sub team planned to QC check all electrical components as they arrived as well as wire and test the power drive circuit once all drive subsystem components were acquired.

During this phase the mechanical sub team spent time acquiring used equipment to minimize costs. Nearly $1000.00 was saved in total project cost however it came at the expense of our manufacturing timeline. Actuation and frame design needed to be reworked in order to accommodate linear bearings of different size. By phase end manufacturing of the frame and actuation system began and will continue through the next phase.

The electrical sub team was unable to wire and test the power drive subsystem during this phase due to the mechanical sub team timeline. Instead, the majority of time was spent developing the GUI and testing electrical components as they arrived. The DAQ system saw much development and will continue to be refined. Once the frame is complete they plan to focus time to wire and test the power drive system.
