Team Vision for Build & Test Prep Phase
Summary:- In this phase we planned to:
- Finish the PCB Design
- Check calculations for components on the PCB
- Order components for PCB
- Have a professional look over the PCB
- Test the MOSFETs
- Create a plan for heat dissipation
- Create a plan for electrical isolation of powerfets
- Development of motor controller algorithms
- We actually accomplished:
- All of the above
- Motor controller algorithm is ongoing.
- PCB components are on order.

Risk and Problem Tracking
Demo Expectations (weeks 5, 8, 11)
- Week 5
- Working CAN Communications
- PCB nearing complete debug
- This includes a report/summary of all issues found
- Working temp sensor
- Working powerstage when using motor controller
- Working electrical isolation solution (sil-pad) installed
- Working thermal disipation solution (sil-pad) installed
- Week 8
- All things that were unfinished/unable to be complete from week 5 and:
- Working torque controller (rather than speed controller)
- Working PCB or, if last failed and had to be reorder, contigency plan
- Fully operational enclosure
- Power calculations have been performed and reduction considered/attempted
- Week 11
- All things that were unfinished/unable to be complete from weeks 5 and 8 and:
- Bike is outfitted with final design for motor controller, powerstage and enclosure
- Paper nearing completion/starting if appropriate
Risks concerning the team
- Risks are currently low
- Whenever issues/risks arrive we work through them
usually on paper first then formally
- We do subteam and team meetings on the issue/risk
- If we required help, as we have in the past, we know where to go to find it
