Team Vision for Final Demo and Handoff

During this phase, our team wanted to show our customer that the system we created met all of the engineering requirements initially discussed at the beginning of the project. We would do so through both validation testing and a live customer demonstration.

At the end of the phase, if all of our customer's requirements are satisfied, we will be handing off our system hardware along with installation and operational manuals to SPX.

Model and Measurement Comparison

Model and Measurement Comparison

The plot shows that our measured data is within the expected range when compared to SPX's Ansys model and our own cantilever beam model of an impeller blade. We have met our customer's requirement of being able to measure strain within 10% of a model's prediction for a given rpm.

Plans for Wrap-up

To conclude our project, our team needs to hand off our system hardware and provide our customer with the manuals necessary to both install and operate our system on any impeller of their choice.
