Test Results Summary

Kamen KD-2300 Displacement Sensor

The Calibration test was conducted using a KD-2300 Displacement Proximity Sensor in conjunction with the designated calibration system. The data collection was taken when the voltage readings fluctuated at a reasonable rate with respect to the distance. Voltage measurements were recorded at 0.25mm intervals starting at 13.8mV and stopping at 244.9mV, which was when the voltage spiked to infinity.

Plans for next phase

For the next phase, the team is planning on having all remaining parts machined either with the help of the machine shop or out-sourcing. Also, the team will begin setting up and programming the interfaces in the next three weeks.

Specifically, by the end of the next phase, the Electrical engineers will have an implemented, working solution for the force generation issue of the solenoids. On the other hand, the Mechanical engineers will have an implemented, working solution for the displacement sensor which will be used to measure the movement of valves. Below is the Project Plan for the next phase.
