Cost Breakdown

Because of the proprietary nature of the Cost Tool, it cannot be linked here. However, improvements are continuously happening to it and the tool is on its 13th revision. For the Integrated System Build & Test with Customer Demo Design Review:

Simulation

In order to keep flexibility for the customer, it was decided to develop two simulations of the facility. The first simulation was for a full line, manual sorting, and 100 percent cotton. This simulation is shown in 2D below:

The second simulation was for a full line, manual sorting, and a mix of cotton and other material. This simulation is shown in 2D below:

These two simulation models were based on the 12th revision of the base simulation and can be found here and here.

Facility Layout

In order to keep flexibility for the customer, it was decided to develop six facility layouts. The layouts are as follows:
