Risk and Problem TrackingDuring the latest update to the risk graph, a dramatic decrease in the total value was seen. This is due to the application of a safety standard, ASTM F963: Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety. This standard was chosen because it covers a range of tests targeted at making a product safe against abuse by a child. The standard includes tests for impact, along with specifications for entanglement, pinch hazards, protrusions, and similar dangers that could pose a risk to children. Though our product is not intended as a toy, it is understood that our user will most likely abuse it in some way.
Our team has also started tracking problems using the prescribed Problem Tracking spreadsheet.
