  2. Define the optimal values of the most sensitive design parameters.

Assumptions:

  1. Ball is stationary on tee
  2. Ball is point load impact at very end of bat
  3. Wiffle bat constant cross sectional area
  4. Gator ball COR = 0.3
  5. Constant torque applied to handle by user
  6. Distance ball travels is 3.048m
  7. MOI of gears taken as a lump area of mass
  8. Bat moves -85° to +85° full swing and makes contact at 0°
  9. Neglect air resistance of ball
  10. Handle should move 45°
