Detailed Design

Team Vision for Detailed Design Phase

During this phase, our plan was to answer any and all design questions that came up during the Preliminary Detailed Design review. Our goal was to present a design that is essentially ready to be implemented so that we can hit the ground running when we return for the Fall semester. We plan to work as needed over the summer as a couple team members will be local. We planned to have our BOM done and complete, to make the purchasing process easier over the summer/fall.

We have been able to answer most, if not all, outstanding design questions, pending the Detailed Design review of course. We have settled on various parameters such as pile size, modeling in the fall, and composition. The BOM is slightly behind schedule in terms of its comprehensiveness, but we are confident that it will not cause any further delay than we already account for in terms of long lead time items. We feel our design is in such a place that any further questions or issues that arise during the Detailed Design review will be able to be settled quickly and not have an impact on the Senior Design II project plan.
