Team Values and Norms

The team has agreed to adhere to the expectations that have been listed in the following table.

Team Behavior
  • Each team member shall be committed to the project.
  • Each team member shall be respectful of other members and give constructive feedback.
  • Each team member shall practice good attendance.
  • Each team member shall maintain a professional manner.
  • Each team member shall meet deadlines and complete assigned action items.
Team Communication
  • Email shall be the primary mode of communication.
  • Team members shall respond to emails within a day of being received.
  • Weekly meetings shall be held outside of class to discuss and work on project.
Team Work Distribution
  • Workload distribution shall be discussed whenever the team meets.
  • Work shall be distributed according to an individual's skills and area of expertise.
Team Decision Making
  • Team members shall discuss decisions during class or meeting times.
  • All team members need to agree on a topic before a final decision can be made.
Managing Conflict
  • All conflicts shall be handled during class or meeting times.
  • All conflicts shall be discussed to determine if a compromise can be made.
  • In extreme cases, the Guide shall be asked to mediate conflict discussions.
Integrity and Ethics
  • Each team member shall follow the Engineering Code of ethics.
  • All team members shall follow RIT's academic honesty policy.
Task Responsibility
  • Each team member shall complete his work by the previously decided due dates.
  • Each Team member shall inform the group if he cannot complete a task so that the team can assist.
Team Meetings
  • Each team member shall be at weekly meetings
  • Each team member shall be allowed one unexcused absence during the semester.
  • Each team member shall arrive to meetings no more than 20 minutes late.
  • Each team member shall communicate to the team if they cannot be at class or a weekly meeting.
