Team Vision for Detailed Design PhaseTeam worked on finalizing the design for the different subsystems (stringer, rope machine and spools). Also the team worked on updating and consolidating the test plans to ensure that accurate tests were performed to meet engineering requirements. A plan for MSD II was created and is expected to change as time goes on.Also the team has updated the Bill of Materials to being ordering part for next semester.

Prototyping, Engineering Analysis, Simulation
Drawings, Schematics, Flow Charts, SimulationsDescribe your design in enough detail for someone else to recreate it. Have you included assembly plans and user manuals? Your team may want to create separate nodes and directories within the Detailed Design Documents directory for CAD, schematics, or software
The spools were redesigned to be machined in house to reduce cost and were designed with corrosion resistant materials in order to reduce the up front cost of the system and to increase the overall lifetime of the system.
Lanes for string cutting are designed to be scalable where multiple spools can be turned by a single shaft cranked by an operator. This allows a single operator to create as much string at a time as they are capable of cranking.
The rope twisting assembly is designed to twist 30 strings together at a time. The materials chosen are mostly corrosion resistant and easy to machine to the desired specifications.

Risk AssessmentThe updated Risk Assessment includes both increases and decreases in likelihood and severity, and therefore importance, for several different potential risks, along with additional potential risks that may occur during our testing and prototyping process, where the severity will be higher.
