Value Norm
Team Meetings
  • All members are expected to participate in meetings and arrive to the meeting at a reasonable/on time.
  • If there are any exceptions (ie can not make it to the meeting, request to change meeting time), then the exception must be communicated to the team in a timely manner.
  • A member is allowed to arrive at the meeting no later than 15 minutes after the meeting time with proper communication to the rest of the team.
Individual Work
  • Work must be submitted and ready to review at a predetermined time that everyone in the team agreed upon.
  • Each team member is expected to complete their class homework and submit it on time.
  • If a team member is struggling with their individual work, they will communicate with the rest of the team that they need help.
  • Team members should communicate issues or concerns such that the team can address the issue immediately and prevent further issues.
  • The team will keep the guide up-to-date during meetings in-class.
  • The team will maintain consistent contact with the stakeholders (ie email, in-person meetings, etc.).
  • At least one team member will respond to messages within a day’s time (ie GroupMe chat).
  • Main mode of contact is through GroupMe
Team Decision Making
  • Team members will listen to the rest of the team’s input before making decisions
  • In the case of a tie in making a decision between two or more options, the team can employ a point-based voting system. Each team member will cast two votes and the decision with the most votes will be chosen. This should be applied where the team sees fit.
  • Each team member will act professionally and respectfully towards other team members, guides, experts, and stakeholders, etc.
  • Each team member will remain committed to the project.
  • Each team member will attend team meetings.
  • Each team member will exhibit honesty.
Extenuating Circumstances
  • In the event of a team member not being able to attend a class or a weekly meeting, the team member will communicate with the rest of the team by GroupMe chat or email and notify them.
  • In the event of a team member not being able to attend a class or a weekly meeting, the remaining team members will fill them in on what was missed. The team member that was absent will be responsible for making up any work missed.
