The two units were seperated and tested under multiple conditions. The original conditions yielded vibration reduction range of 30-70. New test conditions yielded a vibration reduction range of 45-60.

The EE’s of the team were assigned two tasks:

Matlab generates an installer file using the Application Compiler. The installer file was then loaded on the existing LORD computer. The computer does not have an existing Matlab installation.

The result was a functional Matlab application on the LORD computer.

Future Testing

Test Purpose:

To confirm earlier results of de-coupling behavior.

Test Background:

This was observed when the non-TVA system was removed from the common base plate and both systems were run side by side. Vibration reduction remained steady at 55% to 60%, while before ranging from 30% to 75%. When both systems were removed from the common base plate, they were tested sitting on the threads for the vibration isolators.

Test Description:

Build temporary base plate for non-TVA system and TVA system to allow the black vibration isolators to be fixed together and provide a stable base for the systems to shake on. This is closer to our planned final state and will allow us to infer more accurate expectations.

Testing:

A second base plate will be made from the old electronic boxes container. Systems will be tested on both new base plate and original base plate to remove possible error
