Project Summary | Project Information |
---|---|
"Ai-Pollo" is an original play by David Munnell which is a futuristic take on the Greek play Oedipus. The play will include augmented reality elements which the audience can view via headsets. The stage set and props will be used to represent major scenes and characters in addition to the augmented reality elements. RIT COLA has sponsored a stage to be built for this innovative new play. The stage is designed to function as the centerpiece of two separate settings within the play. The first setting functionally acts as a "portal" or door through which actors can walk. The second setting when the stage is rotated acts as a shrine or pedestal with functional wings. In addition, a baby doll with LED eyes that glow on command is required to sit on the pedestal at a given point in the play.
