Team Vision for Detailed Design Phase

Electrical Team

On the electrical side of our project, the plan for phase 4 was to continue updating and refining our PCB and conducting further research into electrical components for the prototype. Progress was made on both these goals and we were also able to begin Motor & H-Bridge testing.

Mechanical Team

On the mechanical side of our project, the plan for phase 4 was to continue updating and refining our chassis, suspension & camera mount designs. Progress was made on all designs and more parts have been 3D printed for prototype fitting.

Progress Report

Work Done So Far

We don't have any major updates or changes since the last design review. However, we did conduct some initial motor & motor controller testing and confirmed that the parts we've ordered so far are working and that the motors will certainly provide enough power to our car. We also found out that we will have to write some code that will allow the motor to get to a high enough voltage to begin running.

Plans for next phase

Plan for MSD II

As a team, our goal is to have the all mechanical parts ordered, printed and assembled within the first couple weeks of MSD II, so that we are ready to integrate electronic components as soon as they are finalized and on hand. Then we will be able to conduct fully assembled tests and focus on improving specific areas of the car.
