Team Vision for Preliminary Detailed Design Phase
Our team planned to begin design of the highest risk details of the exercise machine including the frame and seat and this was accomplished and presented in our preliminary design review.
Feasibility: Prototyping, Analysis, Simulation
All usage scenario requirements were met for the highest risk components of our design; the frame and the seat. Being able to adjust the seat for different use scenarios was a big part of our requirements. The seat in our current design can be folded to adjust for space for a wheelchair via a hinge and latch system and is height adjustable for different sized individuals via a lead screw system. The resistance is adjustable via a resistance band connector system. Evaluation of our team's concepts were performed using Autodesk Fusion 360 and screen shots of the design can be seen below. New risks were added based on this design.

As a team we plan to run material stress analysis mimicking real life use through Autodesk Fusion 360 as well as an ergonomic study when our design is complete.
