Your website should document your journey through MSD, so include work-in-progress as well as latest results. Use pdf's for display whenever possible so that information is easily viewable without the need to download files and open applications. (Your EDGE file repository should still contain original editable files).
Due to the Covid-19 situation, RIT's campus is shut down and all RIT classes have moved to online formats. We will be finishing what we can for MSD P20071 and preparing for hand off to an individualized study group or next year's MSD program.
Team Vision for Subsystem Level Build & Test PhaseOur team is going to update all of our relevant documents based on the changed circumstances of this semester. We will update our test plan to reflect what we have already done, what is left that we can still do, and what we can no longer do.
The plan moving forward is to prepare our project for "hand-off" to a new group next year.
Test Results SummaryWe were only able to complete the first stage, radar based exit velocity, of our test plan. Our videos correspond to the following spreadsheet and its data. We will keep working on our code to output exit velocity and launch angle metrics. These are the only metrics we will be able to show based on our limited amount of videos and lack of access to our benchmark products for more testing.
One factor we considered but were not able to control is the horizontal exit direction of the batted ball. We recorded the range of exit directions during our video session, but did not record this metric for individual videos. We will use the range of exit directions to estimate a range of exit velocities or a range of acceptable error for each batted ball.
Risk and Problem TrackingOur risks and problems also changed pretty significantly since spring break. We updated our tracking list to reflect these new obstacles.

Plans for next phase
- We would like exit velocity and launch angle initial metrics.
- We will address exit direction causing error to the exit velocity in the Z-direction from the camera.
- We will try to create some sort of UI for a better interactive experience with the program.
- We would like to be in a comfortable position to hand off the project to the next team.
